The Runner

For more than 20 years I have been practicing the ritual of going for a run early in the morning almost daily. In this painting I wanted to represent this daily ritual and what it means to me. Nature and figure merge, everything is connected or influenced by nature. Running as way to connect with my surroundings, but at the same time running as a time to reflect on myself. There is an influence of the classic Greek period in the representation of the figure.
